Why decarbonisation?
Decarbonisation refers to the process of reducing the carbon intensity, i.e., reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions produced across sectors.
Reducing the energy load in a building to the maximum extent possible without compromising comfort or convenience for its occupants.
This course is called Deep Decarbonisation because it not only addresses the direct energy use of consumers, but also the embodied energy used at the source of energy generation in such power plants producing so-called 'dirty power'.
Decarbonisation is essential because India's resources are at an alarming low already and the models of the past of such massive consumption of water or energy cannot continue into the future.
This would lead to a disastrous crisis for the country and all business in the near future; not far but ten years only.
